The Channel area holds a vast cornucopia of gourmet delights and 'local' is the word when it comes to dining at Peppermint Bay. Dine in our a la carte Dining Room or relax in our Terrace Bar. The Peppermint Bay Providore holds all the flavours of the region be it the tartness of quinces or fragrant fresh olive oil, house smoked salmon or slowly ripening cheeses, you can remind yourself of this abundant area of Tasmania by tucking a jar or two of something delicious in your suitcase or to eat back at your hotel room. We have our own smoker and are constantly developing new products.

Sweeping cathedral ceilings framed by floor to ceiling windows beautifully present the waters edge views of Bruny Island and the D'Entrecasteaux Channel as the Bruny Island Ferry makes its’ regular crossings.
The Dining Room menu reflects the fantastic flavours of the produce available throughout the region, featuring Tasmanian Crayfish, Bruny Island oysters, Tinderbox rabbit and locally grazed eye fillet beef. From house made smoked sausage to our award winning pork hock, the summer menu is a showcase of the abundant Huon and Channel regions.
Our Chefs radiate a huge enthusiasm for Peppermint Bay and the food and wine producers of the region. They work to the ethos of the best seasonal foods of the best possible quality. Peppermint Bay's food is honest and uncomplicated, we prefer the quality of the products to speak for themselves.
The Dining Room is open for lunch everyday, and for dinner on Saturday nights or for group bookings (minimum numbers apply).
